Environmental Testing Technician, Stack & Emissions Testing position

Job Summary:

CETCON, Combustion and Environmental Testing Consultants, a leader in the specialized field of air quality testing, combustion consulting, and fired heater operator training, has openings for our Environmental Stack Testing/Emissions Testing Technician position.

This position provides an outstanding opportunity to be part of the evolving environmental air quality and emissions testing industry with excellent potential for advancement while working with consultants who are recognized throughout the industry. Candidate will be part of a team of environmental professionals that conduct various types of tests on emission sources located at refineries, natural gas transportation facilities, electric utilities, pulp & paper mills as well as many other chemical-related and manufacturing facilities.

Qualifications:

This is an entry-level position. It is essential the candidate be mechanically-inclined and have the ability to work at significantly elevated heights in all weather conditions, assist team members with repairing field-related equipment and other physically-demanding tasks, and become proficient with the preparation of the mobile testing laboratory. The candidate should also be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Able to perform physically-demanding tasks outdoors, at elevated heights, lifting up to 50 pounds

 

Overnight travel and field work is required. CETCON is based out of Tulsa, Oklahoma, with the majority of the work performed in a 500-mile radius of Tulsa. The company follows the guidelines outlined by the CDC. Chemistry, mechanical, instrumentation, or combustion- related experience and /or education is highly desirable but not required.

Starting salary for this entry-level position is $45,000-48,000, depending on experience. In addition, CETCON offers exceptional health, dental, and vision benefits. We also provide a tax-deferred (401K Type) plan, stipends and per diem for travel, competitive vacation, and paid holidays.
